Thank you for looking

I hope you’ve enjoyed viewing this work I’ve shared with so many great people a fraction of how much I’ve enjoyed making it. Thank you again to those who make art with me. May you go colorfully into the world and thrive in your chosen skin.

F.A.Q.

  • We will take our time placing the stencil, making sure the design is just right. You will have a gut instinct when the piece is how you want it to be on your body, and we are ready to begin. I’ll do my best to make sure you can be as comfortable as possible during the tattoo process. I will always move as efficiently as possible, but ultimately each piece is unique and takes as long as it takes. You are never obligated to sit for longer than your body tells you is reasonable that day.

  • I will respond to projects I can take on as soon as possible. If you haven’t heard back from me after a couple of weeks it’s because I’m not able to take your project on at this time. I will always prioritize ones I do take on by fit to our visual goals.

  • Inspiration for what you want to see on your body. If you have any visual reference of tattoo and/or art styles, photos that give me a glimpse into what you want or also don’t want, all that visual information is helpful. It can be precise, or abstract, a fully developed idea, or a vague concept that we can explore together. Let’s nerd out together.

The consultation itself is always free of charge. If you decide to pursue your project with me I will take a deposit before you book tattoo time on my calender.

  • I will take on projects when my schedule allows and according to each project’s fit to my work. I am focusing my practice on large scale work that I feel like my skills can bring value to. I am particularly drawn to nature, portraiture, sacred geometry, large scale work that truly becomes a part of a person. My focus is always on fit, finish, and longevity as well as customer service.

  • General self care: good sleep, nutrition, and hydration. All of these basics add up to a more comfortable tattoo experience, and better healing.

  • Fuck yeah it hurts.

But it’s always worth it in the end. The degree of discomfort is completely subjective and can change day to day depending on how you treat your body. Some places on the body are truly painful, the majority of them though are mostly uncomfortable or irritating.

  • Tattoos are teamwork so please do your part by treating your fresh art with care. Once the bandage comes off, wash it right away. Use simple scent & dye free soap and just your hands (nothing abrasive) to wash the piece as many times as needed to get it squeaky clean. It’s NOT clean until it’s NOT slimy (free from plasma and excess ink).

Let it air dry, or clean towel pat dry. Apply a very thin layer of moisturizer, less is more. Wipe the moisture over the tattoo until it feels like you’re wiping it off, and that is the perfect amount. Your skin needs to be able to breathe to heal properly.

As long as you keep it clean, washing and moisturizing once to twice a day for two weeks, it will heal whether you like it or not! Bodies are amazing, just get out of the way and listen to yours. If anything you are doing during the healing process is causing the tattoo to feel painful or irritated, back off of that activity. When in doubt, give it an extra wash and/or another thin layer of moisture.

    Pro Tips:

Bring a snug item of clothing that you would be able to sleep in to change into right after we bandage your tattoo. This will help keep the bandage in place through the night so you don’t have to think about it again till the morning wash.

Use the warmest water you can stand (not hot) for the initial washings of the fresh tattoo, then rinse with cold water. This will not only feel wonderful at the end, but help your tattoo heal most efficiently.

  • You are only charged for the amount of time you actually spend being tattooed. I work like a tattoo cabby: I turn the clock on when the machine is running, and turn it off when it’s not. At the end of the session I round down to the nearest 15 mins and that’s what I charge you at the end of each session.

  • $225 / per hour (+tax) for sessions less than 4 hours

$200 / per hour (+tax) if you can sit 4 hours or more at a time

    $200 minimum

  • The deposit is non-refundable but not additional in any way. The cost varies depending on the scope of the project:

Less than a half sleeve: $200

Size equivalent to a half sleeve: $400

    Size equivalent to a 3/4 sleeve: $600

Size equivalent to a full sleeve: $800

For multiple session work $100 comes off of each appointment until the remaining balance is $200, that amount stays as the deposit until your final appointment.

You will LOOSE YOUR DEPOSIT and a new one will be required within 2 weeks or you will loose any calendar space if:

-You No Show at your appointment

-You Reschedule within 3 days of your appointment

-You decide not to get the tattoo

    -You completely change your idea

-You have more than 2 large scale changes to your design that require substantial redraw time

-You are inconsistent in progress and cancel/reschedule 3 times.

-If rescheduling/cancelling continues after a new deposit is taken the deposit amount will increase, and eventually you will be asked to finish your work elsewhere. If there is an extenuating life circumstance and you need to pause your project please let me know. Otherwise, I will be dedicated to you in quality and efficiency and appreciate the same in return. This is teamwork y’all.

  • Two weeks generally. The wound is medically considered an abrasion, much like skinning your knee except slower and prettier.

Even though the tattoo is technically healed, many people have papery skin for longer. And the colors and shades of the tattoo will shift as your body digests the fresh ink and it becomes a part of you, possibly for up to a couple months afterwards.
